See my signature wedding album for this wedding in the Album section at my web site!
Congratulations to O.E. and Dave! Your amazing destination wedding at the top of Vail pass is also nominated for the 2008 ICON Award for Best Wedding Over $75000. Yeah, two out of three nominations are weddings I had the honor of photographing!
Congratulations Leigh & Graham! Your wedding has been selected to be featured in the next edition of Confetti Magazine.
The judges of Wedding and Portrait Photographers International have honored me once again with entries into their Best of Weddings 2007 book. The images they selected for accolades of excellence are "Stairwell to Love" and "Underwater Bride".

Santorini, Greece
Did you know that it is traditional for the bride to arrive on a donkey for a wedding in the Greek Islands? Here's lovely Jenna arriving at the church in Santorini (AKA Thira), Greece.

Santorini is one of the beautiful Cyclades often referred to as the "Isles of Greece." The dazzling white-washed houses and famous blue-domed churches decorate the blood-red cliffs.
I recommend late April or early May as the best time to visit these islands so you avoid the summer crowds. Do be sure to spend at least 2 to 3 days on Mykonos Island. It's just a couple of hours away if you take the ferry.
Both islands are wonderful locations for your destination wedding or honeymoon.

Donna Karyn & Sapphires
What fun! There I was shooting at a rancho in beautiful Southern California. My client was dressed in a beautiful Donna Karyn -- more than half a million dollars in sapphires adorned her body to accent the beautiful gown. An armed guard stood by to protect the sapphires.
It’s said that Jaclyn Smith is one of the most beautiful women in the world. I’d argue that my client Jeannie is at least as beautiful. Take a look and judge for yourself.

Great News! I just returned from the Wedding and Portrait Photographers International conference. I make the annual trek to this convention to attend workshops, review the latest in wedding albums, try out new software and to visit with other photographers. It's so important to keep learning and to stay up to date. The show was held at the Paris in Las Vegas. I tagged on a visit with my mom and step-father who are located near the wonderful red rocks of Las Vegas.
What fun! I learned that I'm listed in the 2005 WPPI Award Winning Wedding Photography Book. Thanks so much to the WPPI!

Portraits in Paradise
I'm always working to improve the wedding day experience for my clients. So much time and preparation goes into this very special day and many forget the most important plan....that's the plan for making sure it's a day of leisure and love. That's how I came up with the idea for Portraits in Paradise. It's a plan to get superb wedding portraits on a day other than the wedding day.
The concept is simple. Sometime after the wedding the couple takes a relaxing weekend trip to a picturesque location that suits their sense of style, taste and romance. It could be Santa Barbara, Telluride, Mesa Verde, or even New York City.
We meet in the morning or afternoon when the light is perfect for beautiful portraits. The bride & groom bring their wedding attire and as many other outfits as they would like. We get amazing portraits in that perfect locale.
If you're interested in doing a Portrait in Paradise, give me a call and let's plan something wonderful.
